Bringing in the New Year Kapoho-style!

Whenever I can get the chance to enjoy some time in "sunny Kapoho", I take it, and last week was that chance! My daughters and I spent 2 nights in one of our Kapoho vacation rentals at Hale Lokelani -- what a treat!!


This 2-story home has direct water access, which was great for swimming any time. Especially nice was in the early morning before the teenagers woke up!! ;-)

The water was sooooo clear and warm providing fantastic snorkeling. And a special thanks to our friends Jill & Drew who live in the neighborhood and let us borrow their kayak -- that was extra fun to paddle around in the protected inlet area!


Meals were a breeze to prepare in the well-equipped kitchen, and the view from the lanai of the 12/31 "blue moon" over Kapoho Bay and Champagne Pond was breath-taking!

Come 9pm, we had our fun setting off some fireworks in the street! Took a little break after an hour or so and then did it again (loudly!) at midnight alongside many of the neighbors. What a fun way to ring in the new year: with family, fireworks and new friends!!
